MOTHER’S DAY

….in honour of all women.

‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all’ Proverbs 31:29 (ESV)

Mother’s day presents us with an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate all our women, to recognise the great work they do and their impact within the family, and every strand of our lives. Mothers, sisters, aunties and all our female relations and friends play a significant and pivotal role in the wellbeing of our world. God created women different and special, so they can fulfil this all important role.

The lockdown has further brought to light the tremendous work of our women. Their multi-tasking skills have been tasked and stretched greatly as they have had to be teachers, carers, chefs, organisers, counsellors, encouragers, a shoulder lean on, and much more. And all this, while still carrying on with their day to day work, careers and personal obligations.

We want to give a Shout Out to all the women who are by themselves; those who have had to cope with the challenges of the lockdown all alone, those raising and looking after children alone, and all our women who have had to go through this difficult period alone. We commend you greatly. And we want you to know that you are NOT alone. The Lord has been with you and is with you always. He will continue to strengthen you, enable you and comfort you in Jesus name.

Special mention also to all our elderly women everywhere, and to all who care for them. And last but not least, we want to thank all our women working within the NHS, Social Care community and the health sector in general. Your commitment and sacrifice are truly amazing.

Mothers are special. Women are special. We love you all and we thank you all.
